Matthew Glasner graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University in 2012, where he worked with countless leaders in the industry including John Cariani and 2 time Tony Award Winner Sutton Foster. Upon graduating, Matthew interned in the Casting Department of Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, IL for 5 months and then moved to New York City to officially pursue his career in casting with internships at Telsey + Co. as well as Manhattan Theatre Club. He then worked as an assistant to two agents at Innovative Artists. After his time with Innovative Artists, Matthew became the full-time casting assistant at the casting office of Barden/Schnee Casting. While there, Matthew worked on various film and TV projects including Jessica Jones for Netflix, Sisters starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and most notably, the film Spotlight which won the Academy Award for Best Film, in addition to the Robert Altman Award at the Independent Spirit awards given to the ‘Best Ensemble’. After Matthew’s 2+ years with Barden/Schnee Casting, he has now pursuing a free-lance career as a Casting Associate and is currently working with Meghan Rafferty and Mia Cusumano on a new USA Series. Matthew hopes to continue working as a Casting Associate, and sometimes as a Casting Director, on many more projects, big or small!
